The Orthodox Union’s Women’s Affinity group presented the Honorable Rachel (Ruchie) Freier on Wednesday, June 28th. Judge Freier spoke at the OU’s New York Headquarters (11 Broadway, 14th floor) .
Ruchie Freier is the first Hasidic Jewish woman to be elected as a civil court judge in New York State, and the first to serve in public office in United States history.
She is the founder of Ezras Nashim, an emergency medical technician program exclusively for women.
