Saturday morning, 19 swastikas were discovered spray-painted on the walls of the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, located in Fairfax, VA. Surveillance video showed a man in dark clothing spraying the building at about 4:30 AM. This is the second such incident perpetrated against the Fairfax JCC in the past 18 months. In April 2017, swastikas, the SS symbol and the words “Hitler was right” were found spray-painted on the exterior of the building.
Regarding the incident, Sen. Tim Kaine tweeted, “An insidious rise in hateful actions and anti-Semitism is happening in Virginia and across the country. We must meet it with fierce condemnation and an over-abundance of love and unity. We cannot allow hate to fester.”
