By this point, regular readers are fully aware of the OU’s upcoming Torah New York event, to be held Sunday, April 29, indoors at Citi Field. One of the many exciting, highly-anticipated speakers will be Rabbi Moshe Weinberger a mashpia at Yeshiva University and the founding rabbi of Congregation Aish Kodesh in Woodmere, NY.
A speaker of great acclaim, as well as an expert in Jewish education and outreach, Rabbi Weinberger draws upon the works of the Maharal, the Ramchal, the Baal Shem Tov, the Vilna Gaon, Rabbi Tzadok HaKohen, Rebbe Nachman, the Baal HaTanya and others to craft insightful shiurim that are listened to and appreciated by Jews of all backgrounds all around the world. His many areas of expertise include tefillah, chassidus, hashkafa, Rav Kook’s Orot HaTeshuvah, and the works of the Aish Kodesh, among others.
At Torah New York, Rabbi Weinberger will speak on Perfecting and Transcending the Mundane. In anticipation, you may wish to enjoy some of Rabbi Weinberger’s other works around our web site. For example, at last year’s Torah convention, Rabbi Weinberger spoke on From the Depths: The Faith of a Chassid. Rabbi Weinberger spoke about making our prayers more meaningful and personal as part of the OU’s Communal Tefillah Initiative. The OU’s Jewish Action magazine featured an interview entitled Embracing Chassidus: Q. & A. with Rabbi Moshe Weinberger. (Rabbi Weinberger also features heavily in the Jewish Action article Rekindling the Flame: Neo-Chassidus Brings the Inner Light of Torah to Modern Orthodoxy.) Similarly, Rabbi Weinberger provided words of inspiration to teens at NCSY’s midwinter Yarchei Kallah.
