Next month, the Orthodox Union’s Biennial Convention<http://www.ou.org/convention/> will take place in Tarrytown, New York. In addition to a stimulating and informative program of shiurim and discussions, the Convention is also the setting for important “business” of the OU and our community – one aspect of which is the discussion and adoption of Convention Resolutions.
These Resolutions express the views of our organization and its constituency on a range of communal, national and international policy matters as well as enunciate the programmatic priorities for the Orthodox Union.
Here is a link to the text of the Resolutions proposed by the OU’s Resolutions Committee, and approved by its Executive Committee, which will be considered at the upcoming Convention. (We also anticipate presenting delegates with a Resolution addressing the topic of Iran’s nuclear threat and perhaps other emergent matters.) The packet also contains a summary of OU Resolutions on other matters and the procedures by which this year’s Resolutions will be considered and adopted by delegates to the Convention.
Please contact the Orthodox Union offices with any questions or comments about this, or any other, aspect of the Biennial Convention program.
Sincerely,
Gerald Schreck Nathan J. Diament
Chair, Resolutions Committee Director, OU Advocacy Center
