The OU’s Shnayim Mikra series will be arriving at inboxes worldwide (by request) starting with parshas Bereshis. Each week, Shnayim Mikra will offer seven shiurim corresponding to the seven aliyos of the parsha. The series is designed to facilitate the weekly review of the Torah portion, as is brought down in the halacha. Contributors include OU Executive Vice President, Emeritus, Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb; Rabbi Yitzchak Etshalom, author of Between the Lines of the Bible; Rabbi Menachem Leibtag, founder of the Tanach Study Center; Rabbi Dr. Gidon Rothstein, author of We’re Missing the Point: What’s Wrong with the Orthodox Jewish Community and How to Fix It; and others.
The Shnayim Mikra daily email begins Saturday night, October 11, prior to parshas Bereshis, which will be read on Shabbos, October 18. Each email will include a text synopsis by OU Torah Editor Rabbi Jack Abramowitz, author of The Shnayim Mikra Companion. A link in the email will take subscribers to the day’s shiur, as well as the text in Hebrew and English. Shnayim Mikra joins OU Torah’s other daily email-based learning programs, including Nach Yomi and HaShoneh Halachos.
