The American Management Association held a one-day training on how women can further their careers and develop better communications standards at work. About thirty women employees of the OU, across every department, attended this training.
“I learned to be conscious of how I am speaking,” said marketing coordinator Rachel Leff. “The words I choose are important but so are my pitch, gravitas, body language, and even the positioning of my hands.”
Women’s Initiative Program Manager Eliana Sohn commented “I loved networking with women from other companies from across America and brainstorming together how we can grow our careers.”
This training is part of a broader OU Women’s Affinity Group, a forum for women within the OU to create an ongoing conversation with the goal of fostering an inclusive, enjoyable workplace.
