This inspirational and informative weekend will provide the opportunity for participants to interact with leaders on the global Jewish scene. It will also offer new perspectives on the issues facing Jewish communities around the world and here at home.
The noteworthy speakers scheduled to attend include Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom; Rabbi Daniel Oppenheimer, Chief Ashkenazic Rabbi of Buenos Aires, Argentina; Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations; and Rabbi Dr. Elie Abadie of the Edmond J. Sunday sessions will be devoted to examining issues facing the Orthodox Jewish family. An important OU business meeting will be held at the Convention to elect the officers of the OU and to vote on resolutions on issues of importance to the Orthodox Jewish community.
