Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Allen Fagin joined OU-JLIC’s Summer in Jerusalem program this past Sunday in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem.
The program, now in its second year, offers a religiously enriching summer experience for 45 college students from 15 different campuses who are ambitious about their careers and their Torah learning.
The participants spend the summer living in the Old City either in Midreshet HaRova or Yeshivat Orayta and intern during the day in a range of fields include high-tech, emergency medicine, venture capital, and academic research.
At night, the students take part in lively shiurim and beit midrash learning with close to 20 shiurim being offered over the course of the week on a variety of topics including Talmud, philosophy, Jewish law, Tanakh and more.
Mr. Fagin met with the students on the awesome program and got to hear about their amazing internships that they are experiencing this summer. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions relating to Jewish life at large, which included the state of American Jewry, How to be frum and create a Kiddush Hashem in a secular work environment.
