The Whiteville Central School District in Allegheny County, New York, has recalled its yearbook after learning that Jeff Acor, a new history teacher, had called Adolf Hitler his favorite person in an interview.
According to Acor, Hitler “faced many hardships early in life which a lot of people can relate to,” “is arguably the greatest public speaker in the history of the world,” and “made many great strides to make Germany a world super power.”
Superintendent Laurie Sanders said in a statement that Acor’s quote “was incomplete” and therefore “taken out of context.”
