The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has started the revocation process for a vanity license plate that bears an anti-Semitic acronym. The license plate, which belongs to a Queens resident, reads “GTK RWN,” which stands for “gas the kikes, race war now.” The story was first reported by the New York Daily News.
The DMV and the Daily News were alerted to the offensive abbreviation by Assemblywoman Nily Rozic of Queens. Rozic learned about the license plate from an online magazine story in which a writer had gone undercover in the alt-right community and met the owner of the anti-Semitic message.
“I have the right to put anything I want on my car,” the license plate’s owner told the Daily News.
