OU JOB BOARD ANNOUNCES SECOND STATEN ISLAND JOB FAIR, NOVEMBER 29; REGISTRATION UNDERWAY FOR EMPLOYERS AND JOB SEEKERS AT WWW.OUJOBS.ORG
The OU Job Board | Employment and Resumé Opportunities announces its second “Staten Island Job Fair and Networking Event,” in conjunction with the Joan and Alan Bernikow Jewish Center and FEGS Health and Human Services System. The Fair, which is the second to be organized this year due to the success of the first and by popular demand, will take place on Tuesday, November 29 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the JCC, 1466 Manor Road. Fair registration is currently underway for employers and job seekers. Registration is mandatory and free at www.oujobs.org.
Employers with available jobs are encouraged to contact Michael Rosner, Director of the OU Job Board. Employers are equipped with a display table and chairs, Wi-Fi, promotional signage, snacks and promotional ads.
At past OU Job Fairs in the United States and Israel, individuals have been hired on the spot or scheduled to visit a company for a second interview. According to Michael Rosner, 35 individuals were hired at the OU Staten Island Job Fair in the spring.
Declared Mr. Rosner, “We are going back to Staten Island because of the overwhelming positive response we received by the employers and job seekers who attended in the spring. The Staten Island community has been especially hard hit during the current recession and the employers coming, as well as the job seekers attending, share in the mutual benefit that the OU Job Fair brings. We are expecting a registration of 600-700 job seekers for this Fair.”
Potential applicants can view a list online of available jobs and employers who will be attending the fair at www.oujobs.org.
