OU Leaders Meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — Orthodox Union leaders met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday to discuss the relationship between American Orthodox Jewry and Israel. Mr. Netanyahu praised the OU as an important bridge between the United States and Israel.

Presiding over the meeting were Orthodox Union President Martin Nachimson and Executive Vice President Allen Fagin. Also present were Executive Director of the OU Advocacy Center Nathan Diament, Executive Director of OU Israel Avi Berman and other senior leaders of the OU.

In appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership, Mr. Fagin presented the Prime Minister with rare first editions of Don Isaac Abarbanel’s writings, the subject of Bentzion Netanyahu’s work, representing the remarkable combination of ingenuous statesmanship with prolific scholarship.
