IMAGINE, A SEFER TORAH AS GRAND PRIZE IN NCSY’S FIRST INTERNATIONAL CHINESE AUCTION, UNDERWAY UNTIL MARCH 8
“For I have given you good instruction; do not forsake My Torah. It is a tree of life to those who grasp it, and those who uphold it are happy. Its ways are ways of pleasantness, and all its paths are peace.”
– From the Torah Service, Koren Siddur

Imagine winning a brand new Sefer Torah for yourself or your synagogue. Imagine inspiring all Jewish teens. Imagine being able to recognize and meet the varied interests and growing challenges of Jewish youth today. Imagine Jewish teens engaged in Jewish life and reconnecting with their heritage. NCSY | Jewish Youth Leadership is making this reality, igniting the hearts of Jewish teens across the world since the 1950s.
NCSY is the international youth movement of the Orthodox Union.
As it conducts its First International Chinese Auction, Imagine, currently underway until March 8, NCSY offers a most unique and treasured grand prize: the opportunity to commission a Sefer Torah, or $18,000 cash.
The winning drawing will be webcast from OU Headquarters in New York. Originally the Chinese Auction was a New York NCSY event, but with its success it has been expanded throughout NCSY in North America. Other prizes include a trip for five to Israel; a trip for two to Italy; a kitchen makeover; and a shopping spree in New York City.

“We are extremely excited about the first-ever National NCSY Chinese Auction – a fun event with a real opportunity for participants to win valuable prizes — including a Sefer Torah –to enable NCSY to continue its important work,” declared Rabbi Steven Burg, International Director of NCSY.
“NCSY’s mission to engage Jewish teens and reconnect them with their heritage has remained true for decades, even as our tools have evolved. Today, NCSY is in more communities, connecting more teens to Judaism in more ways than ever before. The results of the Chinese Auction will enable these programs to continue and for the development of new ones as well.”
