When the Nachum Segal Network (www.nachumsegal.com) announced that it would air its first-ever “Kosher Halftime Show” during the recent Super Bowl XLVIII, the Orthodox Union jumped on board as a co-sponsor.

“I reach more Jews every day than the prime minister of Israel,” Nachum matter-of-factly told Tablet Magazine in a feature interview this week, “A Visit With Nachum Segal, Avatar of Modern Orthodox Sincerity.”

As host of JM in the AM, a morning-drive music and talk program now in its 31 year, Nachum is internationally known and his studio has become a must-visit for political figures and other prominent individuals. JM in the AM is heard every weekday morning from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM from the WFMU Studios in Jersey City, NJ, at 91.1 FM in the New York-New Jersey metro area, as well as 90.1 FM in the Catskills, 91.9 FM in Rockland County, and online at nachumsegal.com, where it is the cornerstone of an extensive schedule of original internet radio programming each week. The show is in the midst of its annual on-air fundraiser.

As a champion of the accomplishments of the Jewish people and friend of the Orthodox Union, he brought JM in the AM last December to the Seymour J. Abrams Jerusalem World Center, headquarters of OU Israel; and the year before to the finish lines of the Miami and Jerusalem Marathons cheering on Team Yachad. He’s also presented a special edition of The Stunt Show, one of the weekly programs on his online network, live from OU headquarters in Manhattan. OU leaders are regular guests on JM in the AM, and each week his online listeners hear The OU Presents: The Jewish Reaction, hosted by the OU’s Eli Hagler.
