Why, in Shemoneh Esrei, does the bracha of Kibbutz Galuyot immediately follow Barech Aleinu? Because as the Gemara says, there is no surer sign that Moshiach is coming than the land yielding it’s produce:
“‘ואמר רבי אבא אין לך קץ מגולה מזה שנאמר (יחזקאל לו, ח) ‘ואתם הרי ישראל ענפכם תתנו ופריכם תשאו לעמי ישראל”
Great miracles and prophecies are unfolding before our eyes.
Rav Eliyahu Dessler, Rav Avraham Pam, and Rav Yaakov Kamenetsky on the miracle of the State of Israel and how it saved Jews from giving up faith in God post-Holocaust.
The connection between the first bracha in benching – הזן את העולם כולו – and the second bracha in benching – על הארץ ועל המזון is now unfolding before our eyes. Israel not only produces agriculture but teaches developing nations how to use their own resources to grow their own food.
