Position Summary:  

Institutional Advancement (IA) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the fundraising that supports all the OU’s programmatic activities and divisions, including NCSY, OU-JLIC, Yachad, Teach Coalition, Women’s Initiative, OU Torah, OU Israel, and Communal Engagement, among others. To accomplish its work, IA focuses on these four key centralized services: Fundraising; Leadership; Engagement; and Operations. 

When joining the Institutional Advancement Department as an Executive Fellow, you will be an integral part of these efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in areas that include donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship, as well as helping to prepare for select donor solicitation. Activities may include survey administration, assisting with donor proposals, event management, arranging donor site visits, and data analytics and reporting, among others. 

 Select Duties and Responsibilities:  

Research, Survey Administration, & Analysis:  

-Assist with development of donor profiles related to annual gift, planned giving, or capital gift solicitations.  

-Support the coordination and distribution of surveys aimed at gathering donor feedback and enhancing engagement.  

-Analyze survey data, compile reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize donor relations strategies.  

Site Visits:  

-Assist with meetings among IA and programmatic divisions to determine opportunities for donors to witness OU impact first-hand. 

-Compile lists of prospective donors to invite to each donor visit, with input from programmatic divisions. 

-Help coordinate logistics for visits, including with Relationship Managers, donors, and IA Event professionals. 

-Collaborate with divisions on follow up with donors and with visited agency to determine ways to improve process and sharpen focus on impact. 

Planned Giving Administration:  

-Aid in preparing materials for Planned Giving prospects, including letters, brochures, and informational packets.  

-Assist in maintaining records and tracking interactions with potential Planned Giving donors. 

 Data Analysis & Reporting 

-Analyze donor and campaign data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement. 

-Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for fundraising efforts. 

-Support donor segmentation efforts to improve personalized communication strategies. 

-Explore predictive analytics to forecast donor behavior and campaign outcomes.
