Role:
The Orthodox Union helps, inspires, and serves tens of thousands of individuals in the Orthodox and broader Jewish community through its broad array of programs and community-based initiatives. The Executive Fellowship enables talented and community-oriented Orthodox individuals to develop critical leadership and professional skills, as they play a substantive role in a specific OU departmental mission. The Fellowship is designed as a springboard to encourage and inspire lifelong dedication to the service of the Jewish people, whatever the individual’s ultimate career path will be. Fellows comprise a selective cohort which will receive specialized training, mentorship, and unique opportunities to engage in critical work for the Jewish community. We anticipate the development of a unique cohort of alumni of the program that support each other’s efforts and continue to play important Jewish communal roles, whether in a professional or lay capacity.
Fellows are required to be based in the New York tristate area, while also serving as representatives of OU programs and ambassadors for the Jewish community in their local areas, but will be required to attend in-person training and cohort-building.

Application Process:
The application will be accessible on this site and will require standard background information, references, and attachments including your resume and written responses – such as a statement of interest and a short essay. Prior prompts asked about Jewish role models and what the candidate felt was the biggest issue facing the Jewish world. All materials are due upon application submission, and you should hear from the recruitment team within a week of submission.
Applicants are asked to rank their department (position) preferences. Of those offered a preliminary interview with HR, promising applicants will be invited to a second round interview with one or more departments.
