Rabbi Gabriel Davidovich, the chief rabbi of Argentina, was assaulted in a home invasion by a gang who broke into his apartment. The chief rabbi was hospitalized with serious injuries, including nine broken ribs.
“We know that you are the AMIA (Jewish center) rabbi,” his attackers shouted before beating Davidovich.
The attack happened at approximately 2:00 a.m. in the Jewish neighborhood of Once in Buenos Aires. The attackers restrained the rabbi’s wife and stole money and property from the apartment.
