On Yom Yerushalayim, the Abrams OU Jerusalem World Center presented a special concert of songs about Jerusalem. The concert was held on the Hebrew University campus on Mt. Scopus and was a benefit for the Pearl and Harold Jacobs Outeach Zula Center, which provides a safe haven in downtown Jerusalem for hundreds of at-risk teens. Over 800 attended the concert, which included performances by singers Ohad Moskowitz, Chazzan Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, Yishai Lapidot and Yossi Green.
In a letter, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu provided greetings, declaring, “For over 30 years, the Israel Center has played an important role in strengthening Jewish identity and Jewish heritage among secular Israelis, and provides a place for Jews across the religious spectrum to connect with their history and tradition.”
We tip our hats to Rabbi Avi Berman, Executive Director of OU Israel, and his team for this superlative event saluting and supporting one of the OU’s most crucial programs. You can read more about it here.
