1,350 Americans aged 18 and up were interviewed for the study and they were largely misinformed about the Holocaust. For example, 31% of all respondents and 41% of millennials believe that 2 million or fewer Jews were killed in the Holocaust, rather than 6 million.
An overwhelming majority of respondents – 93% – support the idea of Holocaust education in US schools; 58% believe that a Holocaust-like event could happen again.
